iPhone 3GS: can't boot baseband, Wi-Fi greyed out etc

I'm having trouble restoring my 3GS. I can update/revert it to any OS that I have SHSHs saved for, but upon loading the OS, the phone is listed as having no baseband, IMEI, ICCID, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. I've been going between stock 4.0 and 4.0.1 (as I am on 05.13.04) and pwned 4.2.1, 4.3.2, and 4.3.3, all to no avail. Any suggestions? Would the iPad baseband help at all?
 
Make sure that there is no Jailbreak or Unlock Data on there, and take it the Apple Store and think of the best thing you can to explain it.
 
try a PwnageTool 4.3.3 FW w/ old BB preserved and load it as NEW?
do you get service?
was it in water or dropped?
