I don't think any of the major news networks have noticed this yet. You're welcome, arn.

If you look on the comparison page on the Apple Store, you'll notice that the 3G comes with "Stereo headset with mic" and the 3GS comes with "Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic".

What's the difference? The Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic is the model that's been out for a little while for the Nano, Classic, and Touch models. It's basically the classic iPhone buds with volume controls.

If the Apple Store page is any indication (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB770G/A), support for these headphones will be limited to the 3GS only.
