Hey Everyone,

Can anyone help me with this particular problem? I've got a Sony MDR-1R headphone. It comes with iPod, iPhone and iPad enabled volume controls and microphone in a cable.

I cannot get these to work on my 3GS. When I tried it on a 4S everything seemed to work fine!
While it states that 3GS is a supported product, I don't understand why it doesn't work. The volume controls, nor the microphone work.

This is the Headphone: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hps-prestige-headband/mdr-1r/technical-specifications#tab

I found out that it indeed works on a 3GS. My headphone port is busted apparently.

I still plays music without a problem. I have to turn the headphone connector to a certain angle AND apply pressure. Then the remote function works...

Anything I can do to fix this? Or do I need to get parts removed or something?

Well, another update:

My apple earbuds work without a problem. Control and mic work perfectly.

My Sony Headphone mic and volume control don't work. Very strange.
Is there anyone who knows what might be wrong?
