Iphone 3GS earpiece not working? Diagnosis..

Hi...

I changed my iphone 3gs digitiser last night, which i succesfully replaced but when i assembled it back i realise that i cant hear anything from earpiece even its proximity sensor is not working..

I m not sure which is the faulty part in my iphone, but i doubt it went something wrong with cable 3, as i tried alot putting it through in its connector and fails.. only the silver part went in the bronze stay out.. so i need some suggestions that where to start with ?? shall i replace cable 3, shall i change whole earpiece or trying putting the same whole cable 3 in the jack..

please advise..
