Hi everyone,
My iPhone 3GS got water damaged about a month ago. On the night when it happened I tried to turn it off and dry it with a hairdryer but it kept turning back on. There was no backlight, the dock connector was faulty, the buttons on the side weren't working. Then I read somewhere about putting it into a bag of rice to dry it.

After a few days I opened it and cleaned the connectors. Everything was working perfectly apart from the earpiece(no sound during a call) and the proximity sensor. I also broke the ribbon 3. I replaced it but it only fixed the proximity sensor problem.

I decided to replace the earpiece itself yesterday but it didn't help. As I said everything works like before apart from the earpiece. Can't think of anything else that would help.

Any suggestions?

Decided to put the motherboard in a glass full of isopropyl alcohol for a few hours but it didn't help, its still the same.

Any ideas?
