Hi guys,

do you think this will even happen? it's just i'm sure all the features apart from the compass on the the iPhone 3GS software could have been incorporated into the iPhone 3G software if Apple weren't so mean! sure some applications may run slightly slower but come one, we've had video on jailbroken phones since iPhone 2G!

Thanks

I sincerely doubt it, as the 3G and the 3GS have different hardware, compared to the 2G iPhone.

On the video front, Cycorder can only put out about 7-15 fps video. The 3GS is supposedly capable of shooting 30 fps video.

Apple has expressed that they don't want to push out products or software with inferior quality. Without the updated hardware in the 3GS, video isn't a viable option, apparently.

If Apple were to give you everything but compass functionality on the iPhone
3G, where would the selling point of the iPhone 3GS come in? If you think they
can sell the 3GS on the sole factor of performance speed, your sadly mistaken.
