Hi guys.

Just recently started work and for the first time I've put on Push, before it was fetch every hour as I didnt check email that often, now however, I need the email instatnly.

So I ran some tests, sent an email to my gmail account from my computer, waited 5 mins but still do not recieve it. When I press the mail button on the iPhone it then says connecting and it downloads the email.

In settings I have Push set to On and fetch is still on every 15mins.

Thanks

HamzaB

You've set it up as Exchange, right? http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252

It works horribly for me anyway, I had to go back to old-school Google Mail :( Fab when it works, but more often than not it was somehow hours behind my actual live inbox.

So, does this apply for Gmail as well? Me-think's its only for contacts, calender etc...

Instead of clicking the Microsoft exchange one, my one is set up on Gmail? Should I delete that and set it up using microsoft exchange?

I was under the impression that you should get it working through Google Sync.
Otherwise, GMail doesn't support Push.
