Iphone 3gs : How to safe battery

Hy all Iphoners,

I've got an iPhone 3gs which is getting a day older but still works pretty good now I was wondering how I could save battery on my iPhone?
I know to lower the brightness and not to use push on my email but to use manual or fetch. But those are the only 2 things I know, you got any more tips for me please or some sort of manual on a site or something.
