iPhone 3GS: Installed new app via cydia. stuck @ boot, not even recovery mode!

hi macrumors,
i just installed iconoclasm onto a friends 3gs and it froze. after 5 min of waiting i restarted the phone and it wont get past the apple logo. ive done this before on my 3gs and if anything went wrong id just uninstall it via recovery mode. it wont get past the apple logo, i know i cant install the FW by DFU mode but he didnt backup the iphone as he doesnt have a pc. is there anyway i can get it working without formating the entire thing. he had some important numbers and is very pissed with me.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Never run any hack without backing up first.

I don't think there is anything you can do, but restore and start over.

Do these "important numbers" belong to people that he has dialed before?

If so, check the phone bill.
