Hello everyone I've been having some issues with my iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4th Generation when it comes to connecting to my wifi network. I figured that it was just my router as it was at least three-four years old and was way over due for being replaced as from the many moves and children it had fallen apart but still worked so I replaced it with a netgear N150 router and am having no issues with my laptops or desktops. But on all the iOS devices all of which have iOS 6 are having connectivity issues. On my iphone 3GS i have to constantly enter the password to connect to wifi. With my prior Netgear G54 I almost never needed the password and as long as I was in range of the wifi it would stay connected weather it was locked or not. Now after connecting it loses connection shortly after locking the device, this happens on all of my iOS devices so it makes me wonder if it is a iOS 6 thing or what as it never had this issue until a few weeks ago.
But the issue I've been having since moving to iOS 6 is that I use Home share heavily with my iPod touch's and iPhone but since upgrading Its slow to connect to the library and most the time when it connects its distorted in the way that their is no library or just a few artists showing. Most the time it just doesn't connect at all.
So with both these issues has anyone else had these issues? what can I do to resolve it?
I've considered going down to iOS 5 to get back home sharing since there is no real gains for older hardware with new iOS's anymore. I've considered going back down to iOS 4.3 with the iPhone to get back some performance but I like imessage too much and notification center.
