iphone 3gs is frozen... some help plz...

My iphone 3gs is jailbroken first of all. My problem is I can't get it going again.
I tried a hard reboot but the Apple icon shows and I don't see the red slider bar to power off. The phone will not turn off. I can't even connect to itunes coz it doesn't see it plugged in.

How can I fix this problem? My warranty is up already.

Put it in DFU mode.
