Hello,

I needed to do a hard reset on my iPhone 3GS and it's taking me too much time. It's taking almost 12 hours by now!!!!

I did it by going to "Settings, General, Reset, Erase All Content and Settings", confirm it and then the iPhone turns off, gets the screen black with only the animated circle going on. And it's been there since then.
Is this a symptom of something bad? Should I do the hard reset by another way?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Cheers!

This is weird...
Try to restore it with iTunes and choose "set up as new" instead of using a backup. Should have the same effect and doesn't take that long

Just an update that might be of interest to someone on the future: doing the restore from iTunes solved the problem.

Thank you for the help.
