Hello all! I've been a reader for a long time but last night I came across an issue that is way beyond me.

Okay, I'm generally pretty quick to sing IPhones praises but I find them user friendly for idiots like myself and easy to fix when issues arise.

I'm currently though, experiencing a very frustrating issue with my 3GS.

My phone isn't jail-broken although its out of its warranty now (typical how things go wrong when warranty is up eh?)

All i did today was update to the latest version of ITunes and the latest software for my IPhone. When installing said software to phone I received this message.

"The Iphone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested rebuild"

And now every time I try and do something with it I receive this on the display;

I live at the ass end of the world where the nearest apple shop is about 750 kilometres away and separated by a huge body of water. None of the google results have worked for me and I can't really afford to run out and buy a new phone.

Any help is appreciated as I need my phone back!

Cheers!
