iPhone 3Gs - Jailbreak 4.0?

Hey all,

I have a developer account but haven't taken the plunge to trying any 4.0 betas yet.

I have a 3Gs that I bought the day they came out and I read that the jailbreak for 4.0 currently only works on the 3G.

I would just like confirmation of that and to know if there is a way to jailbreak a 3Gs with 4.0.

Not yet I don't think, but keep your fingers crossed!

Currently only the 3G on 4.0 is jailbreakable (sp?) and thats because of a specific hardware chip that can't be patched. Also apparently only Beta 1 can be jailbroken too on that. And we are already up to beta 3.

I jailbroke my 3G while on beta 1, I can tell you think the wallpapers are not in there by design that line of code didn't exist of couse adding it it worked, and worked wonderfully as well as multitasking,
