iPhone 3GS Jailbreaking/Unlock iOS4 question

Hello everyone!

I've done some browsing on the forums as well as Google and just found a lot of contradictory answers about jailbreaking/unlocking on 3GS so let me explain my situation...

I have an iPhone 3GS.
It's running the 4.0 OS.
It has the 05.13.04 baseband.
I'm running on a Mac OSX 10.6+ platform.

I know there's a lot of information out there but I'm a bit confused, maybe someone can help clarify. Considering my circumstances, what are my current options for jailbreaking AND unlocking this device?

Hi, I am in the exact same situation, 3GS with 4.0, on a Mac and so on, the thing is that 3GS iPhones with 4.0 Can't be Jailbroken at the moment and you need to jailbreak it to unlock it, so you just have to wait for a Jailbreaking tool for 3GS phones, that will be out soon i hope

Ugh! I'm trying to jailbreak and unlock my 3GS to eBay and pay for an iPhone4 because AT&T won't give me another hardware upgrade. They want $400 for a new phone.

I'm so screwed until a 3GS crack comes out.
