I jailbroke my iphone a while back to try out cydia. It worked fine for about a month, no issues. It just vibrated and turned off one day. I managed to turn it on by putting it on the charge and holding in both buttons, then pulling off the charge and holding the power button. This worked a few times, but the battery drained within an hour for some reason... this trick no longer works!

So I have an iphone that thinks the battery is dead, itunes won't read it and I can't get it to turn on. If I could even get that far, I would restore it to factory settings.

I have read through lots of forums tonight, but nothing has yet solved this one, but if anyone knows of a thread, or has a suggestion please let me know.

IF i cannot solve this myself, do apple replace jailbroken iPhones ????

/Anyone needing more details, please ask!

Just for more info:

When its on charge and showing the red battery, if I hold the power and lock button for 10 seconds, the screen goes blank and just loads up the red battery button.. no nice silver apple :-(

Ah I managed finally to get it into DFU mode. I have done a restore but in return I had to update it... so therefore no longer jailbroken :-( And 3.1 don't have ability yet.

Thanks anyway guys even though no-one got time for response,
