IPhone 3GS Locked on Vodafone Egypt .. Can't Activate after UPDATE !!

i can't understand this .. my iphone 3gs 16gb black was on 3.1.3 it's locked on VODAFONE EGYPT ..i was using Vodafone SIM ..
i just updated it yesterrday to 6.1.3 .. and i can't ACTIVATE it with the SIM Which the phone locked at.
iTunes say it's not supported .. so how can i Activate it???

How long have you had that sim card? Maybe requesting a new sim from vodafone will solve the problem.

i have this sim for a long time .. it's working on all phones i have .. and i already tried another vodafone sim on the iphone.

no i didn't .. but i'll do so .. if i couldn't solve the problem.

alright .. i've just found out that this iphone wasn't locked at Vodafone Egypt .. it's locked at AT&T carrier .. sorry for wrong information ..
and the good news that i've downgraded to iOS 4.1 ..
now i have 2 options ..
1- Request Factory Unlock for it (will cost like 8$)
2- Unlock it with Ultrasn0w.. but first i need to know if this iphone compatible with ipad baseband ..

so, i need help with that ..
the Serial Number is .. 88942xxxxxx .. pls someone tell me if this IPHONE compatible with IPAD BB or NOT???

Go with an IMEI unlock that can be bought on eBay for $2-5. It's permanent and allows you you upgrade firmware. It's more reliable than JB and running ultrasn0w.

completely agree with you .. but i'm from Egypt and i have no idea how can i buy from eBay .. if it's safe to flash ipad baseband and unlock it with ultrasn0w .. so, i'll do it.

no i can't buy from this sites ..
i know someone in my area can unlock it for 40LE (7$) ..
i just prefer the ultrasn0w method if it's compatible with my iphone ..
so i need to know is it safe to flash the ipad baseband or not ??​

You can do it but why not go to swiftunlocks.com and pay $2 to have it factory unlocked for good.
Without jailbreaks, hacks, basebands or any other headaches.
Hope you can afford $2.

It's not about the price .. it's just about the time .. my primary phone was broken 3 days ago .. and i have no phone right now .. i need to be connected to the people i work with ..
So, i've flashed the ipad baseband right now .. and now i have iphone with working network again ..
i must thank everyone tried to help me in this great forum ..
