Looks Like no one noticed this yet, but iPhone 3GS comes with Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic.

I noticed it, I think a lot of people did. I just assumed when it came out for the shuffle that the next iphone would have it. I knew it would when they mentioned voice commands.

Your right tho that it did not get any attention.

The "remote" is just a little click button located where the mic is... same as the 3G version.

All the earphones that have come with iPhones have a remote built into the mic. It would be nice if these ones have volume controls but it's not that hard reaching in my pocket isn't too hard.

On Apple's website, it shows two different headphones:

3G: Stereo headset with mic
3G S: Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic

They could be the exact same thing, just worded a little different.

Edit: It looks like the 3G S will have the volume controls, etc. and the 3G will not.

Phil announced this on stage. The earphones now have a remote on the wire so you can use voice control without taking the phone out of your pocket

Yet, another reason why I cannot wait to get this phone next week. Ahh...19th hurry up. 9 more days.

everybody were to busy whining about the price

Before anyone asks, they also made it clear that the remote/headphone combo will ONLY work on the 3G S.

For the $99 iPhone 3G, they're different.

The 3GS version looks the same as the version that came with the non-$99 iPhone 3G, no?

Nope. Like mentioned above, the volume rocker that is on the In-Ears and "new" iPod buds will now work with the iPhone 3GS.

What, no iPhone cloth like my 2G? :p
And no dock, like with your 2G.

Mikey B, thanks. I forgot the non-$99 3Gs didn't have the volume control. I know you could click the top and bottoms of the remote to make it FF/REW, I just guessed that those headsets would also support volume control if the iPod/iPhone did too.
