The "remote" is just a little click button located where the mic is... same as the 3G version.
On Apple's website, it shows two different headphones:
3G: Stereo headset with mic
3G S: Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic
They could be the exact same thing, just worded a little different.
Adjust the volume (iPhone 3G S only):
Press the “+” or “–” button.
That is so bad ass, it has volume control.
I noticed it, I think a lot of people did. I just assumed when it came out for the shuffle that the next iphone would have it. I knew it would when they mentioned voice commands.
Your right tho that it did not get any attention.
It's a nice touch, just a pity Apple Headphones hurt my ears, I've always had to look elsewhere for comfort.
For the $99 iPhone 3G, they're different.3GS version

The 3GS version looks the same as the version that came with the non-$99 iPhone 3G, no?
And no dock, like with your 2G.What, no iPhone cloth like my 2G?![]()
