iPhone 3gs new baseband 5.0 5.16.05 unlock

Is it possible unlock the new baseband on iOS 5 with 5.16.05? Or even update it to the iPad baseband?

Yeah its possible to upgrade to iPad BB if your phone was manufactured before week 35 of 2011, but you will lose your GPS.

You find out the manufacture date by looking at the 3rd, 4th, & 5th digit of your serial. Post first 5 digits of serial.
