Hi everyone,

About a year ago I dropped my iPhone 3GS onto a pavement and the next morning the display didn't work anymore. My contract was just finished so I got a HTC but I'd quite like to get the iPhone working again as I've lost my patience with the HTC.

Basically, the backlight works still (I can see when I press the power button), and the phone's functions still work (flicking the vibrate switch and it vibrates, hear the chime when plugged in to plug or Mac) but there is no display.

Is this an easy/cheap DIY fix? Or should I send it in?

I have read the other threads before posting this but wasn't really 100% on the jargon and what was what. Is this a problem with the LCD, glass, digitizer, something else?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Apologies - thought I had posted this in troubleshooting. If anyone can move it that would be appreciated
