iPhone 3GS not booting.

Hi, my 3GS seems to be stuck on a reboot loop. How can I fix it without losing my documents on it?

Have you tried booting into DFU mode?

From TheiPhoneWiki.com...

Entering DFU Mode (Official Instructions)

Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
Release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode

Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present
 
If the above procedure doesn't help then I would suggest booking an appointment with an Apple "genius" and letting them have a try...

Like aformentioned in thus thread, you will need to factory restore your iPhone because it was A Jailbroken to it's limits or B the Software glitched and needs a fresh start like most old iDevices. Make sense?

Next step in your case...upgrade to an iPhone 4...or a 5.

I never jail broke it. And I see. I'll post here tomorrow if I have any problems. :)
So if I restore my phone, how do I get my data off it? Thanks.

You cannot unless you backed up your iPhone in the past. Otherwise, there is no way to recover your stuff, I'm afraid.

Doesn't work. No point going to Apple since it's quite an old iPhone.

What should I do?

What's odd my iPad 1 still works fine.
 
Just put my iPad 1 charger with my 3GS and now it's charging normally. :)
