How do I restore the phone without iTunes and it not deleting my things?
I never jail broke it. And I see. I'll post here tomorrow if I have any problems.Like aformentioned in thus thread, you will need to factory restore your iPhone because it was A Jailbroken to it's limits or B the Software glitched and needs a fresh start like most old iDevices. Make sense?
Next step in your case...upgrade to an iPhone 4...or a 5.
You cannot unless you backed up your iPhone in the past. Otherwise, there is no way to recover your stuff, I'm afraid.I never jail broke it. And I see. I'll post here tomorrow if I have any problems.
So if I restore my phone, how do I get my data off it? Thanks.
Doesn't work. No point going to Apple since it's quite an old iPhone.Have you tried booting into DFU mode?
From TheiPhoneWiki.com...
Entering DFU Mode (Official Instructions)
Plug your device into your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds
Hold the Home button without releasing the Power button for 10 seconds
