iPhone 3GS not restoring HELP

I tried to update my iphone 3gs to 4.0.2 in itunes, but it was not updating it as it gets stuck half way where that apple logo and loading thing comes.

After waiting more then 30 mins, i removed the iphone cable and did a DFU to restore to 4.0.2, but its still stuck on the same place.

WHAT SHOULD I DO? I TRIED BOTH NORMAL RESTORE, UPDATE & DFU BUT NOTHING IS HELPING ME???

is it fully downloading?

my friend had a similar issue, he downloaded the firmware from iclarified them brought up itunes connected the iphone then held the shift key and restore and restored to the downloaded firmware. just a thought

I did exactly the same thing, but downloaded firmware from another site, i downloaded it twice from 2 different sites. But it get stuck

Try a different cable. Try a different computer. Check your internet connection.

different computer is a good idea...something on yours is blocking the process...gl
