I am a NOOB. I got my Iphone 3gs about a year ago, I currently have it unlocked and jailbroken with Blackrain and is being used on Tmoblie. It hasnt been updated or messed with as far as hacks go or even been upgraded in OS as you can see. I wanted to upgrade to the newest possible firmware that will still allow me to use it on Tmobile. My friend can no longer help me so I would need a complete walkthrough on the process. I tried to research it myself but it seems all the info I found was outdated because I am a few updates behind. I would really appreciate the help. Like I said, its on 3.1.2 firmware, it has an old bootrom. Also someone told me there was an firmware update out there that can change the bootrom so that you would need a tethered jailbreak but IDK if thats true or not so I would try to avoid that update if its out there.
