Sorry but I'm really new to the whole iphone jailbreakes etc but I have a white 3gs 16gb it a replace iphone 3gs other one broke but its a mb model so I thinks it old bootroom just wanted to know if I could jailbreak and unlock to use on t mobile and if I can will the internet work because I have t mobile data plan thanks

Depends. What firmware version is installed at the moment?
If it has been updated to iOS 4.0 then you're out of luck at the moment UNLESS you can downgrade it. (ie the previous owner saved his shsh blobs).

If it is a 3GS with the 359.3 boot loader, you CAN jailbreak and unlock it on 4.0.
If it has the 359.3.2, you can't on 4.0

You have to jailbreak and then upgrade with a custom firmware via Pwnage Tool to do it on the old boot loader...
