iphone 3gs on 3.1.2 jailbroken but cant unlock

Hi there, My friend just gave me his phone to try to unlock.
It's a 3gs and 3.1.2, i can force it into recovery mode, and restore the phone to 3.2.1 with custom software i download (already jailbroken)...

It ran flawlessly no trouble (activated + Cydia) once i add the blackra1n.com and install blacksn0w app, the phone frozen and not responding, it killed my wifi and bluetooth.

I have done acouple time already with different custom firmwares too still the same problem.


Could anyone help me please

Check to see what baseband its on.
If it has been updated to 3.1.3 and then downgraded to 3.1.2 you will not be able to unlock.
If its on 05.11.07 modem firmware you're good. If not SOL.

Yes i am certainly on 5.11.07 coz i dont remember upgrading it to 3.1.3

that the reason i force it to restore at 3.1.2

if you have problems with wifi or push or youtube. i would highly recommend removing the blacksn0w from the blackra1n repo and adding this source "http://cydia.pushfix.info" and then installing Blackra1n RC2 Final. This will solve your wifi lossage / youtube / push problems.
