Iphone 3gs ringtone help!!

i just got an iphone 3gs and i want to put ringtones on it
ive looked at tones of videos but i do it all right until when i change it to a .m4r i try to drag it in onto my itunes and it does not appear please help!!!! i really want ring tones!!!!

p.s im on imac snow leopard

are you bring to load the fro iTunes?
Honestly it would be much easier to buy the ringtones and download your other music. 1-2 ringtones are only 1$ each... and it sounds like you download your other stuff. Save yourself the hassle!

Don't do it man! Take any MP3 and import it into garage band in a ringtone project and you can export it directly to iTunes. Free ringtones!
