Hi all,

Ever since upgrading to iOS 4.3 b1 (now at b3), my iPhone will randomly stop playing audio and start screaming a sort of hissing white noise. Has anyone had similar behaviour? The iPhone is only 1.2 years old.

Thanks,
J

Does your iPhone scream (heheh) when running 4.2? That will help narrow the issue down to software or hardware.

It certainly never did this before I upgraded, and I don't think I can downgrade once I'm at 4.3. I guess I'll just have to see what happens with the next beta. Of course it's very possible that all this is hardware related and simply a coincidence that it happened upon upgrading.

Well I haven't downgraded the iPhone yet, however it now has no sound whatsoever. Someone called before and I couldn't hear a thing. I tried putting my Apple earphones in and no luck. So now my iPhone is not even a phone. :(
