iPhone 3GS searching or no service

I have iPhone 3GS 5.0.1 it's unlocked jail broken it works fine when the phone is not moving but if I hold it up or plug it so it can charge it keep saying searching or no service then after while I get service back if any one can help please I am tired of it esp it get worse when I plug it thanks
