For whatever reason my iPhone 3GS shows the DCIM root folder whenever I connect it to any PC.

I don't have many apps installed, I just had Pwntunes for a test but removed it... the closest suspect maybe iFunBox 2.5 after importing songs with it, but I'm not sure.

Also, itunes can not recognize the iPhone's content after using iFunBox, and I have to use iFile to delete some files and all the music to fix it, not sure if related.

Why would it show the DCIM folder though?

DCIM is where pictures are stored. All iphones jailbroken or not will show this even without ifunbox

the DCIM folder is your camera roll

Thanks guys, yes I know what the DCIM folder is, but it never happened before, and I've been jailbroken for some time now. It just started happening out of the blue.

So, all jailbroken iPhones will connect as a storage device and show DCIM?

as long as you have pictures in your camera roll, yes, it will show up on the computer. it doesn't matter if you're jailbroken or not

I don't believe it hasn't happened before, you just didn't notice.

It always happens if you have pictures in Cameral roll.
