Has anyone heard if the volume/performance is any better? It is one of my biggest knocks on the 3G. I know the speaker will perform louder, because it does when I play music. I am constantly on conference calls, and often times I use the piece of crap old Blackerry that my company provided me with just because the speakerphone is louder.

how old are you ?

It seems like your hearing is going

My iPhone 3G is plenty loud ( I'm 25 btw)

I have not seen anything that has mentioned the speaker on the new iPhone, but I would expect it to be the same as the iPhone 3G.

29. Like i said it is only on calls. When I run the MLB app and listen to the audio, it is perfect. Take a call and all of the sudden it is almost half volume. I know it isn't hardware, because the speaker works well on other apps. I wonder if Apple caps the volume to avoid voice distortion.
