How do i restore my iPhone 3GS that is in a pwned dfu state. It does not boot up at all and is no longer recognized by itunes. It still works because when plugging it in, my computer recognizes it but it does not show up on itunes? I was trying to restore it before all of this when it was just in DFU mode but after using iReb, the phone does not boot up and is always on a black/blank screen

Do you remember what iOS version, BB, and model number of the iPhone 3GS?

How did you run iREB? You simply plugged in your iPhone, then run iREB, then put the iPhone in DFU mode, and then it went through the process, then a message pops up that its in pwned DFU mode.

At that point, if you had iTunes open, it should have said that its in Recovery Mode, or if you had iTunes closed, opening iTunes would have prompted that your iPhone 3GS is in Recovery Mode.

May i suggest a full removal and reinstall of iTunes? It may be a pain, but some files (Apple Mobile Device Support) could be corrupt somehow.

I never knew what the iOS version was and BB was because when the person gave it to me it was in DFU Mode (itunes/white cable) but now after using iReb and clicking the 3GS option and then installing a custom firmware with itunes, it was restoring it all the way but when it was done, the phone rebooted and never came back on!
