I have an iPhone 3GS that is stuck in recovery mode. It is NOT jailbroken and I have no plans to jailbreak. I don't even know how it got into recovery mode--apparently my daughter was using it and ran the battery down to 0. When she connected the charger, it was in recovery mode.

I've looked through other threads, but they all seem to deal with jailbroken phones. This is not a jailbroken iPhone and is not even usable as a phone at all (the SIM card is inactive). I don't want to restore the phone, because it looks like I will lose all my information on it.
