Iphone 3GS stuck on black screen

hey everyone
go a 3gs with stock 3.1.2 today
baseband 5.11.07
now i tried to use redsnow, on the phone saw an image with a loading bar, but didnt really pay attention. next thing i know its a complete black screen. I have tried restoring from itunes but it tells me its not the right package etc.
what can i do to fix this. i just restarted redsnow but now it is stuck and waiting for reboot screen on my mac, nothing on my iphone

Have you tried to put the phone into UDF mode (or recovery mode)? You do this by holding both buttons (power and home) for some seconds then you release one for a few seconds, just do a google search. It may take a few tries, but it should work.

nothing comes up on the iphone screen, it remains black but the apple restore comes up in itunes. we i hold option and select an official 3.1.2 firmware to restore from, it says it cant verify it with apple
i hope this helps i have a plane to catch in a few hours and would love for this to work

Was it previously jailbroken? If not then your not going to be able to restore to 3.1.2.
