iPhone 3GS: Taking forever to boot

I don't know why but my iPhone 3GS is taking forever to boot. And i thought they said it actually got faster. Not the case with mine at all. It's always taking like over 5min to boot if i shut it off/ restart completely which i try to avoid as much as possible.

Any idea?

Restore it as new. Make sure you sync everything that can be synced before doing this.
