iPhone 3GS - Text message/conversation string storage

Hi...I am trying to extract a text conversation that dates back to Oct 2009. I know that i have not deleted the text messages however, my iPhone only shows texts starting on 1 January 2010.

I know how to extract the text string, that is not the issue. The real issue is retrieving the data from Oct 2009 - 31 Dec 2009.

Any ideas??
