So unless you want to pay a fortune to upgrade, looks like not many folks will be getting the new phone until at least october, even when paying the highest tarrif, madness, big mistake there O2.

Even if you wait for your 18 month contract to end in order to upgrade to the new iPhone 3GS there'll be a new phone out roughly 3 months later, simply pathetic.

As you say, by the time o2 customers can upgrade, there will be a new iphone 3 months or later, so I think, as much as I want the new 3GS, I'll have to give it a miss. Luckily there's iphone os 3.0 to look forward to.
