Hi,
i recently got a iphone 3gs (new bootrom and used) and i wanted to unlock it. it is running ios 5.1.1. i tried unlocking it using ultrasn0w but i always got "no service". That is why i tried to restore it and jailbreak it again with the "ipad basband" option on redsn0w, but the problem was that iTunes wont let me restore it (error 3194) and i am sure i have put the following lines in my host file:
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
but i still getting that error. And yes, i dont have the SHSH blobs for 5.1.1 but i do have them for 5.0.1, and i did stich the firmware with the blobs (locally using redsn0w) and entered pwned DFU mode and tried to downgrade to 5.0.1 but the problem presists, error 3194. btw i tried starting a TSS server on Tiny umbrella but it keeps telling me to run as admin even when i am, and due to that TSS server is greyed out. This might be a complicated situtation, but i hope someone can come up with a solution. Thanks
