iPhone 3GS USB Charging Cable Damage - Warranty?

Does Apple include any type of warranty on the cable used to charge the 3GS? The part where the cable connects to the phone itself has split apart and the wires are showing, which seems like it might be dangerous. Can I get a replacement from Apple for this? I can post pictures if needed.

Everything that came bundled with the iPhone, charger, earphones etc, is covered by the warranty.

Yes it should be included in the warranty, did an Apple genius tell you otherwise?

Same thing happened to me.

Just go here and fill out the form. Apple will send you a new one. No need to contact tech support.
