I recently replaced my iPhone 3gs screen because it was cracked. Except now the vibrate switch doesn't work. The icon comes up on the screen like it's supposed to but it doesn't actually vibrate anymore. I tried to go into settings and turn the vibrate off/on.. that doesn't work either.

So my question is, does anybody know what connector inside the iPhone could have come lose or what could be causing this problem?

Unless you took the logic board and battery out while you were replacing the screen there's no reason the vibration motor should not be working.
If I were to guess I'd say you didn't put it back together properly.
That or it's a mighty coincidence that the motor packed it in.

A few days after I mad this thread the vibrate randomly started working again and has not messed up since.
