iPhone 3GS video recording bug

This has happened quite a few times for me, when I record some video in landscape mode sometimes it saves it vertically..

it will also post it to youtube vertically ... i don't think the video camera senses that. which could be fixed in 3.1 (?)

Was this a fix for Apple's iMovie 8.0.4 (just released)? At least that's what I read. Could still be a problem if you don't have a Mac though.....

Ah, I see its one of the changes for iMovie 8.0.4 "- Fixed a problem with incorrect rotation when working with video created by iPhone 3GS;"
I don't even have a mac and I dont see how that would help if you record/upload from the phone itself.. \
i mean its an easy fix with Quicktime to rotate the video but the point is to upload from the phone and not copy to the pc then fix it
