I have a iPhone 3gs 3.1.3. Its only 2 weeks old and i want to jailbreak it.

If i jailbreak it what do i lose ? ( Contacts, messages etc ?)

If i lose them how do i get them back?

Can i jailbreak it then plug it in to my mac and itunes will pop up and i can restore a backup to my phone and it still will be jailbroken?

***EDIT** I jailbroke it. Currently cydia is downloading packages. All my contacts and messages are still on my phone havent checked my music yet

Yeah everythings good so far.

If i want to remove the jailbreak for a certain reason and want all my stuff is this the correct way.

Restore it in itunes to factory settings. Then right click it and restore from backup before the jailbreak was done?

Phone seems to be noticeably slower?

All i have installed from cydia is winterboard and i'm just using a wallpaper behind the home screen.

Apart from that i just got paid apps that i wanted but how would that affect performance.
