iPhone 3GS won't turn on?

Need some help, yesterday my 3GS overheated, and ever since it won't turn on? I've tried holding the home and power buttons for ages and nothing. It's been on charge all night, but still nothing. It doesn't even bring the no battery icon up, or charging icon, it just seems dead. Thanks for any help.

Wouldn't hurt to have someone at the Apple Store take a look at it, but it sounds like your 3GS has retired...

You may have burned your charge dock port. Sometimes it fries when there is too much heat. Here is how it looks like in attachment.
