Hey guys. I recently received a free iPhone 3GS from a friend who thought it was broken. I got home, charged it for an hour then plugged it into my laptop. I put it into DFU mode and was trying to restore it but i kept getting error 1601. I hit the home button and the power button at the same time and i haven't been able to get it into dfu mode or anything like that. Throughout all of this, the display always remained black. Please help!
