iPhone 4.0.1 has made more issues :(

Greetings all,

Does this seem like an unfair trade off? For accurate reception bars I now appear to have proximity sensor issues, more dropped calls, No Sim Card errors and random blackout periods (where it simply says O2 but with no range or Wifi, not even "No Service".

Anyone else having these issues? Its a real pain.

Perform a restore on the phone. I upgraded to 4.0.1 last night and everything works fine for me.

Sorry I should have said, I've reset it, restored it from backup and as a new phone. I might just downgrade it/send it back. Cheers.

Good luck sorry it didnt work out for you. Id hate to have issues with such an expensive phone, luckily mine updated perfectly with everything intact.
