iPhone 4.01 makes sod all reception difference

Just installed 4.01 onto my iphone 4.

Before the update I got 4 bars at home reducing to zero in 15 seconds if I hold the bottom left hand side of the phone.

After the update I get 4 bars at home reducing to zero in 15 seconds if I hold the bottom left hand side of the phone.

Go figure.

Oh….The bars are bigger. Whoopie do.

Oh wow! The 4.0.1 update that only fixes signal strength indication didn't fix the reception? Go figure...

This was the only fix in 4.0.1:

- Improves the formula to determine how many bars of signal strength to display

It did not change anything else. Your reception is the same. You just happened to get the same bars before and after.

I have an idea: read the bloody articles on page one first before giving a lousy comment. It didn't change the reception, it just changed the representation of the attenuation and made a more equal representation per bar. And yes, the smaller bars are a pixel bigger, but that's just a handy feature to see if you did update to 4.0.1
