Hey Guys,

Yesterday I decided that it was time to update my iPhone 4 to 7.1.1, which proved to be one of the worst ideas ever.

The update, which was a clean restore update, went fine and I was able to go through the iOS7 first screens (the configurations - Language, Country, SIM, iCloud) and so, I decided to download my iCloud backup to the phone. After downloading it, the iPhone screen showed the Apple and the progress bar, which froze after advancing 1/4. I waited for a few hours and nothing happened so I decided to reset through Home+Wake/Sleep which only worked after some tries. The phone then rebooted and froze again during the progress bar.

I was forced to wait for the battery to run dry and try to put it on recovery mode which proved unsuccessful and now my phone is stuck between the progress bar and shutting down after battery drainage.

Is there even a way to proceed when the phone buttons are totally unresponsive? I'm kind of bummed this happened as I have no intention of buying a 5S and was waiting for the release of 6 to update my phone.

Thanks for your help!

Well the phone isn't recognized by iTunes and both buttons are unresponsive. I can use the Sleep/Wake to Power it on but after it is on, it doesn't recognize O am pressing them.
