I'm looking to purchase a brand new/fully sealed Iphone 4 32gb from a friend of mine for £280. Am I being ripped off considering that the new 4s is about to be released or is it a good deal.

I think it is a good deal as long as it is brand new and sealed... 32GB too.

The one on the Apple link is a 8GB!

Considering your friend could get £290 for it from one of the more reputable "we buy your old phone" websites, I don't think he's ripping you off.
