Hi Guys

Just unlocked an iphone 4 on 4.1 via limera1n with success and great ease. An absolute pleasure to use and my first ever hack!... So pleased I left a generous (well what I think is generous) donation to limera1n (pwnage though?!) via their paypal link - hopefully it will help with future phone hacks, etc.

Just a quick question - if there's one available whats the best unlock tool. Ive tried the forums search and mcroogle tools under iphone 4.1 unlock, etc criteria but no joy. Im so close to completing this whole saga yet still not there.

Its a UK vodafone iphone 4 running 4.1 now limera1n jailbroken (wheyoop) that I want to use on UK O2 (yes I already have the mini sim sorted - thanks).

i Just tried an ultrasnow unlock via Cydia and the phone rebooted but fails to make calls with the new provider (O2). However the rest of the phone still works great, including wifi. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks
 
Hi Sidewinder. Im not sure on baseband. If you can tell me how to check it then I will reply straight away. thank you
 
Baseband is the modem firmware version displayed in the Settings:About page. Everything you need to know is here.
 
Hi Guys. Sorry for late reply - not sure if this is connected but my mac bookpro laptop completely shutdown and upon reloading the wifi I had saved was gone and the time was reset to the Jan 00!... Ive sorted it now but ive never, ever had this happen with any of my macs before?!

any ways the phone reads..: 01.59.00

did your iphone 4 come with the 4.1 OS out of the box? Mine is and I am researching how to unlock it for use in Russia with a gsm sim there. Most of the posts i found so far say I have to downgrade to 4.0.1 however I have been trying for the last 6 hours. Can it not be done? Am I doing something wrong?
