Hello all,

I received a second hand iPhone 4 last week and tried jailbreaking it. This went wrong.

What I did :
I downloaded snowbreeze with stock 4.3.3 ipsw file and created my customer FW file. I tried restoring using this file and while receiving different errors and discovering apps like ireb and tinyumbrella solving them, I was able to restore completely without errors. However the iPhone immediately was in DFU again.

I tried to boot using power-hold combination, fixrecovery from tinyumbrella, fixrecovery43.exe, ireb set auto boot true. nothing worked.

Untill I found a topic where someone said he was able to boot with redsnow "boot tethered" option which worked for me as well.

The solution for this person was to restore to 4.1 I tried this as well :
- iTunes 10.2.2
- Tinyumbrella because I bumped into "Itunes update server not reachable"
- iReb pwned DFU mode because I got 1600 error.

After this everything continued normal except : The screen on my iPhone remained black.
The restore continued and resulted in error 1004 which I read was because of the hosts file. But when I don't use tinyumbrella I get 3194 or the "unreachable" error. After this error the iPhone is in DFU mode again.

Has someone an idea what I can do?

I hope I didn't broke or bricked my iPhone.

Greets!
