Hi,

New to the forum here. I am looking for advice/information/authoritative links regarding purchasing Iphones with bad ESNs, IMEIs or MEIDs. I have very little knowledge on the topic, and am in the beginning phases of research.

My current limited understanding:
1) Verizon Iphones are factory unlocked.

My questions are:
1) Which issue, bad IMEI, ESN or MEID, would I be facing with each carrier (Verizon, AT&T, TMobile, Sprint)?
2) Assuming my understanding that Verizon Iphones are factory unlocked is correct, would I be able to use a bad ESN Verizon Iphone 4, 5 or 6 in a foreign country utilizing a GSM network?
3) Which carriers (Verizon, AT&T, TMobile, Sprint) is it safe to purchase, assuming a high percentage of the phones purchased will have bad ESN/IMEI/MEIDs? (From the perspective of wanting to use the phones in a foreign country with a GSM network - assuming the phones are NOT unlocked)
4) Which carriers (Verizon, AT&T, TMobile, Sprint) is it safe to purchase, assuming a high percentage of the phones purchased will have bad ESN/IMEI/MEIDs? (From the perspective of wanting to use the phones in a foreign country with a GSM network - assuming the phones ARE unlocked)

Please also assume that 0% of the phones are reported stolen (if that makes any difference).

I really appreciate any help you can provide me with, including links and/or answering some of the queries.

Thanks again,
MY23
